An exhibition standard 3/10 scale model of the Bristol Jupiter V111 FP of 1928. This model is at an advanced stage but not quite complete. The source of information has been the original highly detailed maintenance manual, which describes every part of the engine and its function and also has excellent perspective section diagrams. External dimensions were measured on full size examples in the museum and internal dimensions could then be extrapolated using the diagrams in the manual.

The model comes with all the reference material required and the adapter plate, which was used for all the machining operations on the crankcase. The builder of the model is happy to offer advice and assistance, if needed, to a buyer who wishes to finish the engine.

History:

The Bristol Jupiter was a British nine-cylinder single-row piston radial engine built by the Bristol Aeroplane Company. The Jupiter was widely used on many aircraft designs during the 1920s and 1930s. Thousands of Jupiters of all versions were produced, both by Bristol and abroad under license. The Jupiter was designed during World War I by Roy Fedden of Cosmos Engineering.
